kihz Schönberg takes over from former Pitschi university crèche

From August 2006

The former Pitschi university crèche joined the kihz day nurseries in August 2006. It is located at the “Coach House” [“Kutscherhäuschen”], with its beautiful garden, directly on campus, providing a total of 20 places in one infant group and one mixed-age group.

kihz Day kindergarten planned for Platten

From August 2006

In August, kihz will open its first day kindergarten for 12 children aged between 3-6 years at 45 Plattenstrasse.
The plan is for a fixed morning group from Monday to Thursday from 7.30 until 14.00. Afternoons and the whole day on Fridays (woodland teaching) can be booked individually. When issuing places, priority is given to employees and students at PHZH, as well as members of the two colleges, ETH and UNI. Places will be subsidised by the City and the colleges and the parents will be charged in accordance with the City of Zürich’s parental contribution policy.

New kihz day nursery in Wolfbach put into service

1. February 2006

On 1st February, the doors opened at the new PHZH children’s day nursery which has been set up in the courtyard of the Wolfbach school building at 3 Kantonsschulstrasse. There will be 12 places.

kihz is ZEWO-certified

Restructuring 3^rd navigation line

June 2006

The 3rd navigation line now belongs exclusively to the kihz’s own care facilities.

New website for new CI

1. January 2005 / 15th. March 2005

Matching the new logo with its three anthropomorphic jigsaw pieces, we can now present the new website for New Year, 2005.
The images on the right-hand edges show scenes from both of our crèches in Hönggerberg and Bülachhof. We would like to thank the parents for permitting us to publish these here.
The English version has also been live since mid-March.

Management roles now well and truly filled

Sergio Tassinari and Ria-Elisa Schrottmann as joint managers

Sergio Tassinari and Ria−Elisa Schrottmann took over the management of the Foundation for Childcare in the College Area on 1st March 2004. They can make good use their shared experience of work and research into childcare that supplements family provision, and are now looking forward to being able to combine their potential. Sergio Tassinari already has internal expertise, as he worked on the Foundation’s creation and the integration and restructuring of both kihz crèches.
