Au pairs are generally young women who help with the housework and with childcare.
The au pair works fixed hours every week within the home, leaving her time to concentrate on her linguistic and cultural development.
An au pair can only stay for up to 12-18 months.
The framework conditions for her employment are defined by an agency.
Costs
Approx. CHF 450.00 to CHF 700.00 per month plus board and lodgings with the family, as well as the possible cost of attending a language school.
