Study conducted by the OECD on combining family life and work
The OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) has been looking at how employment and family life can be reconciled in the different Member States in its series on "Babies and Bosses".
Volume 3 of the OECD reports contained detailed analysis not only at state level but also in the cantons of Waadt, Ticino and Zurich. In addition to childcare outside the family, it also examined and compared the situation of working parents, the influences and effects of tax and social welfare systems, as well as measures undertaken in the workplace to facilitate combining work and family life more effectively.
